Overview
Uganda's two great primate experiences in one journey — chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park, then the crown jewel: a gorilla trek in Bwindi. Between them, a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel crowded with hippo and buffalo.

The itinerary

Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth
Drive west via the equator, overnight near the park.

Kazinga Channel
Morning boat cruise along the channel, afternoon game drive.

Chimpanzee Tracking
Track chimps in the Kyambura Gorge, then transfer south through Ishasha.

Ishasha to Bwindi
Morning search for tree-climbing lions, afternoon drive to Bwindi.

Gorilla Trekking Day
Dawn trek into the Impenetrable Forest, one hour with a gorilla family.

Return to Entebbe
Morning at leisure, transfer back to Entebbe / Kampala.
