Day by Day
The itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at the airport, free afternoon
Arrive Entebbe international Airport, clear with immigrations authorities, and A&B Tours Driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe – app 15 minutes drive. Freshen up at the hotel and breathe into the reality of an African safari. You can have a free afternoon to relax, or participate in a number of tours in Entebbe. Entebbe can offer a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre, Entebbe market, the botanical gardens and a cruise on lake Victoria. These can be arranged upon your convenience. Day 2: Mabamba, Sunset cruise
Visit the Mabamba wetland to catch sight of the historical shoebill. With a canoe, you go through the swampy Mabamba in search of the rare shoebill, the wetland also has a number of other bird species that will add to your whole birding experience. Return to the mainland and relax abit. In the evening, go for a chill boat cruise whilst the sun is setting, this gives you beautiful views and a good moment. Return to your lodge for overnight. Day 3: Ziwa and Murchison falls
You will embark on your drive to the iconic Murchison falls National Park, Through Ziwa ranch. The drive to Ziwa takes approximately 4 hours. Go for Rhino tracking, the walk to get to the rhinos is physical friendly and short. Spend time watching the rhinos, there after proceed to the park. Have a game drive enroute your lodge. Lodge options: Twiga safari lodge, Murchsion River lodge.

Day 4: Game drive, top of the falls
As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm, so it is with game drives. You have a good advantage of catching the all nighters from their hunting business. Wake up early and have a game drive. A number of animals can be sighted including the antelopes, lions, giraffes, buffalos and many birds. There is no guarantee to seeing them all as nature dictates. After our lunch and a little relaxation, you will be driven to the top of the falls. This gives spectacular views of the worlds’ most powerful waterfall. Lodge options: Twiga safari lodge, Murchsion River lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale
On this day, you will drive to Kibale National park – home of the chimpanzees. The drive takes 6 – 7 hours, enjoy the breathtaking views of Uganda’s vegetation and the feel of its terrain. Check in at the lodge. Lodge options: Ensiko lodge, Chimp nest.

Day 6: Chimp tracking transfer to QENP
Check out at the lodge and the driver guided will drive you to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, dive into the forests and start your hike searching for humans’ closest living relative. This is rewarding as you might get to sight other animals and birds too. You are allowed to spend an hour around the chimpanzees, take as many photos as possible. After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lodge options: Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 7: Game drive and boat on Kazinga Channel
Have a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National park and look out for the animals, the buffalos by the mud pools, antelopes, lions and many others. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a boat ride on the waters of the Kazinga Channel, while on the boat ride, you are most likely going to sight crocodiles, hippos, buffalos and very many birds. Lodge options: Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha
Have a breakfast and at your convenient time, with a game drive through the Ishasha sector of the park, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park and to your lodge. Lodge options: Kaara Gorilla Mountain lodge, ichumbi lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla tracking
The D Day! Wake up early and have your hiking books and all apparel on. The dtriver will drive you to the park headquarters where the briefing is done. There is entertainment from local women groups through songs and dances just to set up the mood for the amazing gorilla tracking experience. After the briefing is done, you are assigned to a gorilla group and given a team of rangers to take you through. Walk into the forests, you are allowed only an hour with the gorillas. It is a breath taking moment, take as many pictures as possible. After trekking, return to where you started from. Have a late breakfast or an early lunch and an afternoon to relax. Day 10: Drive to Entebbe, End of safari
Transfer to Entebbe after a beautiful Uganda safari, the driver guide will drive you to the hotel or the airport as per your departure details.
