About this place
Kenya's stretch of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is where the migration reaches its most dramatic act — nearly two million wildebeest and zebra funnelling into the Mara River crossings between July and October. When the herds move on, the Mara remains one of the best places in Africa for big cats, with lions, leopards and cheetahs on the open plains all year.
